Gurugram News: Haryana is ready to take the lead by moving ahead with an illustrious program of Metro and Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) projects. Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi said that all the projects would reshape regional and urban mobility across NCR and adjoining districts.
Gurugram News-What was the ridership?
Rastogi said the Metro network carried more than 1.27 crore passengers between the period of April-November, compared to 1.10 crore during the corresponding time period last year.
In July, the highest monthly growth was noticed as the ridership increased by 22.93 percent. Fare revenue of Rapid Metro increased to Rs. 23.37 crore, a hike of 14.06 percent during the period under view.
List of upcoming projects
The list of upcoming projects includes the proposed corridor from Sector 57 in Gurugram to Panchgaon. Comprising of 28 elevated stations, the 35.25 kilometer corridor has received state funding approval.
The state is also considering several additional metro corridors within Gurugram and the wide National Capital Territory region. These include the Golf Course Extension Road to Sector 5 corridor via HUDA City Center and the Subhash Chowk–Rajiv Chowk–Sohna Road–Railway Station corridor.
