According to officials, the auction is being conducted to dispose of vacant housing stock and promote affordable home ownership in urban areas. Flats of different categories and sizes are expected to be included to cater to various income groups.
Auction Process and Schedule:
As per the Housing Board, the auction process will be conducted in a phased and transparent manner. Interested buyers will first be required to register and submit the prescribed earnest money deposit (EMD). This will be followed by online/offline bidding on the scheduled auction dates, as notified city-wise by the board. Successful bidders will be required to complete documentation and payment within the stipulated timeframe.
Officials said that the detailed city-wise schedule, reserve prices and eligibility conditions have been released separately and applicants are advised to carefully review the official notifications before participating.
The Housing Board said the initiative aims to reduce unsold inventory while providing citizens access to housing at competitive rates. The move is also expected to support planned urban development across Haryana.
