Haryana News: Haryana’s Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi has expressed satisfaction with the pace of implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme. Rastogi added that the state of Haryana has selected all 250 schools under the scheme.
The Chief Secretary remarked that educational institutions have been developed by the state government as green campuses that would be equipped with state-of-the-art digital classrooms as well as modern learning infrastructure.

Rastogi went on to comment that the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) schools should try their level best for evolving into impeccable and benchmark educational institutions not only within the state but also at the national level. The State Chief Secretary also commented that the Indian government offers Rs. 2 crore to each PM SHRI School for improving infrastructure.
Rastogi also remarked that district-level committees have been constituted under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners. This has been done for comprehensively assessing the academic and infrastructural requirements of the PM SHRI schools and ensuring timely implementation. The Chief Secretary was quoted as saying that these district-level committees would help in proactively identifying priority works so that effective fund utilization could happen to strengthen the state’s educational infrastructure.
Rastogi remarked that the top 3 best-performing PM SHRI Schools of the sate along with 3 Model Sanskriti Schools would get honoured on August 15, 2026. The recognitions would be covering glorious achievements in the segments of innovative teaching practices, infrastructure development and academic excellence.
