Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, in the recent Haryana News, has stated that the vision of PM Narendra Modi was that every Indian home should get free electricity bills and a 24/7 electricity supply. To advance this vision, the Haryana government is giving subsidies to households for installing rooftop solar panels. According to ANI Hindi News, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini announced that under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, eligible families will receive ₹78,000 to install solar panels, aiming to cover 2.22 lakh rooftops across the state.

Aid for Families Earning up to ₹3 Lakh

CM Saini informed that the government will provide financial support of 78,000 to the families whose incomes are in-between 1.8 lakh and 3 lakh to install 3 KW rooftop solar panels.

2.22 Lakh Rooftops to Get Solar Panels

Haryana aims to install 2 KW solar power systems on the rooftops of 2.22 lakh houses under the PM Har Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. It is one of the steps the state takes to move away from the direction of clean energy and cheap electricity in every household.

Subsidy for Families with Higher Income

The Haryana government has also provided 10,000 subsidies to those families earning above 3 lakh per annum, and therefore, the scheme is open to more people. The scheme is on a first-come, first-served basis, and thus eligible citizens should stay advised and apply as soon as possible to receive the benefits.
