Haryana News: CM Teerth Yojana Deadline Extended! Full How-To Guide Revealed

Haryana News: The extension of the Chief Minister’s pilgrimage scheme deadline under Mukhyamantri Teerth Yojana Haryana is particularly significant for poor elderly individuals, offering them not just a spiritual opportunity but also social and emotional support.

Haryana News: The Haryana Government has announced that it has extended the last date for elderly above 60 years with an annual family income of less than Rs. 1.8 lakh from April 15 to April 30.

Haryana News-What’s Special?

Interested applicants can submit a request to visit the Hazur Sahib at Nanded in Maharashtra under the Haryana Government’s Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme.

A special train would be flagged by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The train from Kurukshetra on May 5 would carry devotees residing in Haryana from different districts.

How To Apply?

Eligible applicants need to register immediately at the Saral Haryana Portal using a smartphone or their nearest Common Service Centre till April 30. The yatra will be free of cost and selections would be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Anupama Anjali, Mahendragarh Deputy Commissioner, remarked that applicants must immediately submit their required details before May 1, 2026, at the District Information and Public Relations Officer’s office in the old mini-secretariat, Narnaul.

Interested applicants are required to submit valid photo identification such as a passport, voter ID card or Aadhaar card. They also need to submit a copy of the Parivar Pehchan Patra, a self-declaration for travel fitness and a declaration that they have not availed of the scheme in the last 3 years. Only residents of Haryana with a valid Parivar Pehchan Patra are eligible.

The extension of the Chief Minister’s pilgrimage scheme deadline under Mukhyamantri Teerth Yojana Haryana is particularly significant for poor elderly individuals, offering them not just a spiritual opportunity but also social and emotional support.

For many senior citizens above 60 years with limited annual family income (below Rs. 1.8 lakh), travel, especially long-distance religious journeys often remains out of reach due to financial constraints. This scheme removes that barrier by offering a completely free yatra to Hazur Sahib, one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites.
