Haryana News: Development Projects Worth 14 Crores Set to Commence in the City

The municipal council, after a financial committee meeting, has approved a series of development projects in the city, amounting to a total budget of 14 crores. These initiatives encompass the construction of various city streets, including a beautification project near the Shri Shyam Temple with an expenditure of 50 lakhs for archways and squares. A total of 195 development projects are slated for execution, focusing on enhancing the overall infrastructure and aesthetics of the city.

Commencement of Development Work Anticipated Soon

Following a prolonged delay in the financial committee meetings, the municipal council has finally agreed on the development projects, with tenders expected to be issued shortly. The 14.29 crore budget allocated for these projects includes funding obtained recently by the council. The decision reflects the urgency to kickstart the approved projects, addressing various aspects of urban development.

Finance Committee Meeting Resolves Development Plans

The finance committee meeting, attended by members such as the municipal chairman Praveen Ailawadi, vice-chairman Anil Bansal, executive officer Raja Ram, council member Dharmveer Majoka, and representative councilor Ajay Saini, delved into discussions about various proposed development projects. Among the 199 proposals, approximately nine were revoked due to inaccuracies in estimates and nomenclature. The remaining projects received unanimous approval during the meeting. The committee aims to reevaluate the canceled projects and proceed with the endorsed ones in the coming days.
