The government of the state of Haryana has announced a huge relief package for thousands of students appearing for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) on July 26 and 27. As a measure to make travel hassle-free and make it convenient to participate, the state government has decided to provide free bus travel amenities to all the students, showing its concern for students.
Massive Logistics for Smooth Conduct
This enormous logistical feat will mobilize approximately 9,200 buses from 24 depots and 13 sub-depots, with a wide reach throughout the state. Candidates will be privileged with free travel from the nearest district or sub-district point to their respective examination centers and back. The facility is not limited to the day of the examinations; it will be provided a day before the examinations and a day after the examinations, which will allow a decent travel time for candidates from far corners of the state to travel in comfort to their destinations.
Extensive Support to All Aspiring Candidates
The scheme is more than basic transport, and it shows a complete commitment to candidate welfare. For female candidates, a special provision is that one accompanying relative of theirs is also entitled to free bus fare, so that they are comfortable and secure on the journey. Handicapped candidates will also be provided with special care, with free travel being organized straight from their homes to the examination centers, so that the process is inclusive.
For the longer routes traveled by the candidates, i.e., over 100 kilometers, interstate point facilities are made available, so if necessary, state-to-state travel is easy. The government has also made arrangements for rest centers for candidates from remote locations so that they can rest adequately before their exams.
How to Avail Support: Registration & Helplines
To control the flow and provide instant help, candidates taking personal means of transport are asked to register, and a toll-free helpline will be set up in each district for local help. An advance seat booking link (hartrans.gov.in/advance-booking-for-cet-2025/) is also provided to plan. Such robust and inclusive support is indicative of the Haryana government's resolve to provide smooth and equitable exam management for all.
