Haryana News: The Haryana Power Distribution Corporation has reaffirmed its commitment to providing uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers while promptly addressing their grievances. In pursuit of swift solutions to consumer issues, the corporation has initiated several ambitious programs.

Haryana Power Distribution Corporation Commences Grievance Redressal Forum for Consumer Complaints

The Complaint Redressal Forum, chaired by members of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, will convene on April 8, 2024, at the CGRF office in Panchkula. This session will exclusively address complaints from consumers within the Panchkula district.

A spokesperson for the power corporation highlighted that the forum’s members will entertain various complaints from consumers, including billing discrepancies, voltage-related issues, metering grievances, hindrances in connection disconnections and reconnections, disruptions in electricity supply, efficiency concerns, security lapses, non-compliance with orders from the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission, among others.

However, cases pertaining to electricity theft, unauthorized usage, and incidents investigation under Sections 126 and 135 to 139 of the Electricity Act, as well as inquiries into accidents and incidents under Section 161, will not be entertained during this forum session.

The commencement of the Complaint Redressal Forum underscores the corporation’s dedication to ensuring consumer satisfaction and efficient service delivery in the region.
