Alongside the inauguration, commercial flight operations from Hisar to Ayodhya will also commence on April 14. The flight services will be operated twice a week. Additionally, three weekly flights will be launched connecting Hisar to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, enhancing connectivity in the region.
According to a spokesperson from the Union government, PM Modi will attend a public event in Yamunanagar later in the day, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various key development projects.
A major highlight of the visit will be the foundation stone laying of an 800-MW advanced thermal power unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar. Spread over 233 acres and estimated at ₹8,470 crore, the project is expected to strengthen Haryana’s energy independence and ensure stable electricity supply across the state.
The Prime Minister will also launch a compressed biogas plant in Mukarabpur, Yamunanagar. The eco-friendly project, with a production capacity of 2,600 metric tonnes annually, aims to manage organic waste efficiently while promoting clean energy and environmental sustainability.
The inauguration and foundation-laying ceremonies mark a major push towards infrastructure and green energy development in Haryana, setting the stage for long-term growth and sustainability in the state.
