A video from Haryana’s Jind district is going viral and raising serious questions about power dynamics and the treatment of law enforcement officers.
During a public function attended by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini, strict security protocols were in place. As per reports, DSP Jind, following standard procedure, did not recognise BJP leader Manish Singla and did not allow him to move forward toward the CM's area of presence.
pic.twitter.com/24kcDVfPDt

This incident, however, did not end there. Later, a video surfaced online where Manish Singla is seen making the DSP sit beside him and apologise on camera. The public apology of a police officer to a political leader — not for misconduct, but for performing his duty — has sparked debates on social media and criticism from civil society groups.
While some BJP supporters are defending the leader, calling it a “misunderstanding,” others see this as a humiliation of the police force, sending a dangerous signal about the balance of power and political interference in policing.
As the video continues to circulate widely, no official statement has yet been issued by the Haryana Police Department or CM Nayab Saini’s office. Public pressure, however, is mounting for accountability and clarity.
