Weather Update April 17 2026: Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand And Northeast To Receive Rain Showers! Central India To Burn With Scorching Heat

Weather Update April 17 2026: Nagaur, Sri Ganganagar, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Sirohi, Tonk, Hanumangarh, Pali, Baran, Bundi, Churu and Sawai Madhopur may experience rain showers and hailstorms.

Weather Update April 17 2026: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that several parts of Central and Northwest India are likely to experience heat wave conditions. This is primarily due to the pushing of dry and hot winds by a red-hot anticyclone partly over the Mumbai-Konkan coast and the Arabian Sea.

It was also predicted that several parts in Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh would experience intolerable heat conditions.

Northeastern States Weather Update

Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura are likely to witness moderate to heavy rain showers till April 20.

Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir And Himachal Pradesh Weather Update

Several regions in the Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad region are likely to experience moderate rainfall and/or snowfall along with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds. The same weather conditions are also likely in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Weather Update April 17 2026-Delhi NCR and Uttar Pradesh Weather Update

Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi may notice light to moderate rain showers along with thunderstorms at some regions. Rain is also likely at several parts in Western Uttar Pradesh.

Rajasthan Weather Update

Nagaur, Sri Ganganagar, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Sirohi, Tonk, Hanumangarh, Pali, Baran, Bundi, Churu and Sawai Madhopur may experience rain showers and hailstorms.

Madhya Pradesh Weather Update

Betul, Balaghat, Shahdol, Sidhi, Harda, Mandsaur, Raisen, Sehore and Jabalpur are likely to stay hot and humid, especially during mid-afternoon to late evening.

Hot and humid weather conditions are likely in several parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Karnataka and Rayalaseema along with Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam.
