Weather Update December 26 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that fresh snowfall, light rain and thick fog are likely to prevail in the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh along with Ladakh. Isolated places over Western Himalayan Region Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit Baltistan-Muzaffarabad are likely to be covered in a blanket of snowfall.

Dense, thick fog is expected in Faridabad, Gurugram, Noida, Delhi, Ghaziabad and adjoining areas. Surface wind speed is expected to be around 15-25 kilometer per hour during the day.
The maximum temperature is likely to be around 19-22 degree Celsius, while the minimum may be close to 7-8 degree Celsius.
Other States
Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, eastern Rajasthan, northeast India, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Sikkim and central Maharashtra may experience intense cold waves and thick fog.
Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha are likely to experience dense fog and intense, chilling waves till December 29.
Gulmarg, Anantnag, Kishtwar and Sonamarg are likely to receive fresh snowfall. Many upper hilly parts in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are also expected to receive a good bounty of snowfall.
Parts of Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh may experience severe fog, possibly causing travel disruptions.
