Isolated places over Western Himalayan Region Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit Baltistan-Muzaffarabad are likely to receive fresh rain as well as moderate to heavy snowfall. The states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand would likely experience chilly waves throughout the day.
Weather Update January 2 2026-Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan
Isolated parts in Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR are likely to receive mild to moderate rainfall. Regions like Amritsar, Bijnore, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Panipat and Sonepat are likely to experience chilling waves.
Gurugram, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Hastinapur, Saharanpur and Meerut would experience dense fog and mild rainfall.
West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha
The states of West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha may experience mild to slightly dense fog, especially during early morning hours.
Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam
The states of Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam are likely to receive mild to moderate rainfall. There may be chances of dense thick fog, especially during early morning hours and late evening hours.
Southern States
The states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry may experience cold waves.
Maharashtra and Goa
Isolated parts in Maharashtra may receive mild rainfall. In other parts and Goa, the weather would be pleasant for a majority of the day time.
