Weather Update January 25 2026: Intense western disturbances are also likely to cause moderate to heavy rainfall and snowfall in the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Weather Update January 25 2026: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds over Madhya Pradesh and the adjoining plains of Northwest India. Intense western disturbances are also likely to cause moderate to heavy rainfall and snowfall in the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Weather Update January 25 2026-Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan

Many parts of East Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi NCR are likely to witness heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

Patiala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Karnal, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Sonipat, Panipat, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur and Kaithal are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall. Panchkula, Guhla, Pehowa, Shahabad, Ambala, Indri, Narayangarh, Thanesar, Nilokheri, Radaur, Barara, Jagadhri, Kalka and Chhachhrauli may receive light to moderate rainfall.

Rampura Phul, Bassi Pathana, Khanna, Payal, Malerkotla, Samana, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Amloh, Nabha, Rajpura, Dera Bassi, Nangal, Hoshiarpur, Baba Bakala, Batala, Bhulath and Anandpur Sahib may notice moderate to extremely heavy rainfall along with violent thunderstorms.

Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

Many regions in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are likely to witness heavy rainfall. Parts of Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit Baltistan-Muzaffarabad may notice day-long snowfall.

West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha

Bardhaman, English Bazar, Baharampur, Habra, Kharagpur, Shantipur, Dankuni, Dhulian, Ranaghat and Haldia are likely to witnes dense to thick fog. Kolkata, Asansol, Siliguri, Durgapur, Raiganj, Krishnanagar, Nabadwip, Medinipur, Jalpaiguri and Balurghat may notice poor visibility.

Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam

Jowai, Kohima, Dimapur, Tuensang, Aizawl, Lunglei, Champhai, Imphal, Thoubal, Bishnupur and Agartala may experience poor visibility and thick fog. Gangtok, Namchi, Mangan, Shillong, Tura, Dharmanagar, Itanagar and Guwahati may also experience the same set of weather conditions.

Southern States, Puducherry and Daman & Diu

Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi-Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tirupati, and Kochi may experience mild rainfall. Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Salem, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kollam, and Puducherry may witness moderate to heavy rains followed by thunderstorms.
