On the third day of the budget session in the Bihar Assembly, a fiery confrontation took place between Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. The exchange of words turned intense as Nitish Kumar referred to Tejashwi as a "child" and claimed that there was "nothing before 2005." He went further, stating, "I made your father (Lalu Prasad Yadav) what he is today. Even people from your own caste advised me against it."
Nitish Calls Tejashwi a 'Child', While Tejashwi Accuses the Government of Failure
Tejashwi, in his attack on the government, declared, "The government is outdated, the system is broken, the CM is exhausted, and the common man is struggling." He listed the achievements of his father’s tenure, while Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary also engaged in a heated debate with him.
Nitish vs. Tejashwi: A War of Words
Tejashwi: "The government is outdated, the system is broken, the CM is exhausted, and the common man is struggling."
Nitish: "This is just a child; he knows nothing. There was nothing before 2005. I made your father what he is today. Even your own community opposed it."
Tejashwi: "Before 2005, calling a CM 'Paltu Ram' didn’t lead to losing membership."
Nitish: "They (RJD) created chaos twice, so I removed them. Now, I will always stay with my allies; I am not switching sides anymore."
Tejashwi: "If you think scaring people with 'Jungle Raj' will mislead Bihar’s people, you're mistaken."
Nitish: "Before 2005, people feared stepping out in the evening. There were no roads, and communal tensions were high. The work that has been done was done by me, not by you."
At this point, CPI(M) legislators started protesting, prompting Nitish Kumar to respond, "You have now sided with RJD. Your top leader was once with me."
Tejashwi: "I don’t want to make a government; I want to build Bihar—‘Chirags will fade for everyone, as the wind is loyal to none.’"
Nitish: "Opposition members have run away, but we thank them. In the next elections, they won’t even win a single seat."
As the war of words escalated, the Assembly witnessed disruptions, with both leaders standing firm on their claims. The political temperature in Bihar continues to rise as both sides prepare for the upcoming elections.
