Nagpur News: Heavy rains that began hitting Nagpur, Maharashtra, at midnight on Friday have interrupted daily life. Numerous roads and residential areas have been flooded, prompting actions to rescue individuals and transport them to safer locations. Authorities had also proclaimed a holiday for schools as a precaution.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Keeps Vigil on Nagpur’s Rain Situation

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is from Nagpur, shared that he is continuously monitoring the rain situation in the city. “There has been incessant rainfall due to which the Ambazari lake is overflowing. The low-lying area around it is affected more due to this. Other parts of the city too are affected,” said his office on X.

Office Workers Navigate Flooded Streets

In a video that quickly became popular on social media, office workers could be seen wading through flooded streets and submerged public transport buses. A other video shows an NDRF team saving an elderly guy from knee-high water and a submerged home.
