The Hemant Soren government is taking steps towards developing the state as a digital healthcare model, with a focus on technologies such as artificial intelligence-based diagnostics, robotic surgery and telemedicine.
The Chief Minister’s Office said the initiatives are aimed at expanding access to modern healthcare services and taking advanced medical facilities to people in rural areas.
Hemant Soren: AI-Based Diagnostics to Strengthen Healthcare
According to the Jharkhand CMO, AI-based diagnostic technology will form part of the state’s efforts to modernise healthcare delivery.
The use of technology is expected to support medical diagnosis and help extend specialised healthcare services beyond major urban centres.
Robotic Surgery and Telemedicine in Focus
The state government has also highlighted robotic surgery and telemedicine as key components of its digital healthcare approach.
Telemedicine can enable patients in remote areas to access medical consultations without travelling long distances, while advanced surgical technologies can support specialised treatment where the required infrastructure and expertise are available.
Focus on Rural Healthcare Access
The Jharkhand CMO said the initiative seeks to take better medical facilities to villages across the state.
The move is being presented as part of a broader effort under the Hemant Soren government to use emerging technologies to improve healthcare accessibility and create a more digitally enabled health system in Jharkhand.
The state government said these initiatives mark a new phase in its efforts to expand technology-driven healthcare services across Jharkhand.
