Speaking at the programme, Sinha highlighted the need to build a strong ecosystem for the growth of cinema in the state. He said financial assistance alone would not be sufficient and stressed the importance of developing film infrastructure, promoting cinema culture in rural areas and creating more opportunities for local talent.

Sinha emphasised that Jharkhand’s unique local languages, art, culture and talented artists can play a key role in taking stories from the state to national and international audiences. Giving priority to local talent and authentic regional narratives, he said, could help Jharkhand create a distinct identity in the Indian film industry.

The filmmaker also underlined the importance of seed funding, robust script evaluation and continuous mentoring for aspiring filmmakers. He shared experiences from his own career and discussed the technological changes taking place in the film industry.

The programme provided emerging filmmakers from Jharkhand with an opportunity to interact with an experienced professional and gain insights into various aspects of filmmaking.

His guidance is expected to encourage young filmmakers and provide them with a clearer direction as they develop their projects and pursue opportunities in the industry.

The initiative reflects the state’s efforts under the Hemant Soren government to encourage the growth of Jharkhand’s creative and cultural sectors while providing a platform for local stories and talent.
