A delegation from the Shri Krishna Janmotsav Organising Committee, Morabadi, Ranchi, met Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and invited him to attend the upcoming Krishna Janmotsav celebrations as the chief guest.

The delegation extended the invitation for a series of cultural and religious programmes scheduled to take place at Morabadi Maidan in Ranchi on September 3 and 4, 2026.
The two-day celebrations will feature several traditional events, including a Bal Gopal programme, Dahi Handi competition, Bhajan Sandhya and Raslila performances. The organisers are preparing the event as a major celebration dedicated to Lord Krishna.

During the meeting, representatives of the organising committee formally invited Chief Minister Hemant Soren to participate in the festivities and grace the programmes as the chief guest.
The event is expected to bring together devotees and residents from Ranchi and surrounding areas for religious, cultural and musical programmes associated with Krishna Janmotsav.
The Dahi Handi competition will be one of the prominent attractions, reflecting the traditional celebrations associated with Lord Krishna. The programme will also include an evening of devotional music through Bhajan Sandhya.
The organisers have also planned Raslila, a traditional theatrical presentation depicting episodes associated with the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. The performances are expected to add a cultural dimension to the celebrations.
The Krishna Janmotsav programmes at Morabadi Maidan are scheduled for September 3-4, with preparations underway for the two-day festivities.
