Zafaryab Jilani : On May 17, senior attorney Zafaryab Jilani, a member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, passed away in Lucknow. Reports added that Jilani had lately sustained a brain injury and that he had not been feeling well. His wife, two kids, and one daughter are left behind. In addition to serving as the Babri Masjid Action Committee’s leader, senior attorney Jilani represented the Ram Janmabhoomi cause before the Supreme Court. Additionally, he held the office of Additional Advocate General for Uttar Pradesh.
Zafaryab Jilani’s Son Announces His Father’s Passing and Funeral Arrangements
Jilani’s son Najam Zafaryab told the news organisation PTI that his father passed away this morning at 11.50 am at a nearby hospital in Lucknow. He stated that the city’s Aishbagh Cemetary would conduct his father’s final rituals that evening.

Senior Cleric Commends His Contributions and Offers Prayers
“Zafaryab Jilani contested the Babri Masjid case in various courts and was also the convenor of the Babri Masjid Action Committee along with being the secretary of various educational institutions,” a senior cleric named Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali stated. I pray to Allah for forgiveness on his behalf and for the people he has left behind to receive strength.
