LPG Shortage: Gas Supply Panic? Delhi Police Deployed 24/7 at LPG Warehouses Warns Traders Against Price Manipulation

As people in Delhi become more and more worried about a lack of LPG, police have set up security at gas warehouses and agencies around the clock. Authorities have cancelled police vacations, stepped up patrols, and warned traders against hoarding or changing prices because there are reports of cylinders being sold for as much as ₹4,500 on the black market.

LPG Shortage: People in Delhi are getting more and more worried about a lack of LPG supply. People are buying things in a panic, and there are reports of black market sales in many parts of the city. Authorities say that some domestic cylinders are being sold for as much as ₹4,500, which is much higher than the regulated price. This has led to strict monitoring by law enforcement.

In response, the Delhi Police has stepped up its monitoring of Delhi by putting officers on duty around the clock at LPG warehouses, distribution centres, and storage godowns. The goal of the move is to stop people from hoarding, refilling illegally, and changing prices while the supply is still low.

Police Cancel Leaves and Add More Ground Vigil

Delhi Police has cancelled many officers’ routine leaves after getting advice from the Ministry of Home Affairs. This is to make sure that they can keep an eye on LPG distribution points without any breaks.

Station House Officers have been told to keep police visible around gas stations.

Authorities are also watching social media sites for false information or rumours about the shortage. At the same time, police are making lists of shopkeepers and distributors whom they think are hoarding cylinders or selling them illegally.

Concerns about shortages rise when supplies are disrupted

LPG Shortage: According to sources in the industry, the shortage is partly due to problems in global supply chains caused by tensions in West Asia. Reports say that these problems have affected shipments of LPG and refinery operations that help meet India’s domestic demand.

Reports say that government agencies are putting natural gas resources at the top of their list for making LPG in order to deal with the situation.
