Lucknow News: Govt to provide free LPG gas Cylinders to the beneficiaries under ‘Ujjawala Yojana’

Lucknow News: The Uttar Pradesh Government will transfer the subsidy money to the ‘Ujjawala Yojana scheme’ beneficiaries by Diwali. The Government is planning to transfer the subsidy money into the account of the beneficiaries. The cost of one cylinder will be 914 Rs. The first installment will be transferred during the Diwali month. The government has asked the officials to link all the bank account of the beneficiaries with their Aadhar Cards. The BJP Government had promised to provide two LPG cylinders to the people of Uttar Pradesh once they come to power.

Beneficiaries will get Subsidy by Diwali

The BJP Government had promised to give these cylinders during Holi and Diwali.  The government has started the process of initiating the scheme so that all the beneficiaries can avail the benefit of the two LPG cylinders during the festival month. There are over 9.59 beneficiaries of the Ujjawala Yojana scheme. The cabinet had earlier approved the subsidy of 200 Rupees for the beneficiaries in the month of march 2023.

Women from Poor Families will benefit from the scheme

The subsidy was transferred directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries. The Ujjawala Yojana has been introduced by the government in the year 2016. The purpose of the this scheme is to provide LPG connections to the poor women of the family.
