Lucknow News: A multimedia literacy museum would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 10 crore. The Saksharta Niketan complex on Kanpur Road, where the foundation stone ceremony and Bhoomi Pujan were completed on Wednesday, will house a museum. IAS retired According to Sanjay R. Lucknow will receive a new tourism attraction after the construction.

Multimedia Literacy Museum to Attract Diverse Audiences

The museum will serve as a significant hub of interest for both domestic and foreign tourists, in addition to the general public and those involved in education and literacy. He said that the museum would depict the development of literacy from antiquity to the present. Weldy Fischer, who founded the India Literacy Board and Saksharta Niketan in India, will be honoured by this museum. By the then-famous worldwide architect Laurie Baker, who created the Saksharta Niketan site as the perfect literacy town.

Laurie Baker's Concept Shapes the Design of Literacy Museum

The design for the Literacy Museum was created using Laurie Baker's concept as a model. The Sovinay shop, cafeteria, and impact of many communities' middling literacy levels will be on show in the museum. The Laurie Baker-inspired Sustainable Architecture Gallery will display green construction. There will be seven galleries in the three-story museum.
