Lucknow News: A heated altercation erupted at the Akasa Airlines counter in Lucknow on Tuesday evening, involving a woman and an airline employee. The incident took place after the woman and her husband arrived late for their flight, resulting in the denial of boarding.
Delayed arrival leads to boarding denial
According to Inspector Shailendra Giri from Sarojini Nagar Police, the woman and her husband Akram, who live in Mumbai, arrived at the airport after 4:20 PM, which was past the 4 PM closing time for Akasa Airlines' check-in counter. Consequently, they were denied boarding for their flight.
The situation escalated when a female employee informed the accused couple about their delayed arrival and the subsequent denial of boarding. Displeased with the decision, the couple objected and demanded to speak with higher authorities. The woman grew agitated during the exchange and ended up slapping the airline employee.
Security personnel intervene
The atmosphere at the airport has rapidly descended into chaos, due to the commotion caused by this argument. Airport security personnel swiftly stepped in and took control of the situation, apprehending the woman who was responsible for the assault.
An official complaint was made to the authorities by an airline worker following this incident. As per the complaint, the Sarojini Nagar police initiated legal proceedings against the accused woman on charges of assault and threats. The airline officials promptly addressed the situation by collaborating with security personnel and furnishing the required information to the police. Their swift actions helped ensure that the incident was promptly addressed.
