Madhya Pradesh: 70-year-old-man arrested for raping two minor sisters in Jabalpur

In the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh, a 70-year-old man has allegedly raped two minors after enticing them away on the pretense of offering chocolates, according to police. The man has now been arrested, the Police has said.

The 70-year-old man who raped two minors, both sisters, have now been arrested. He reportedly lured them away on the promise of offering chocolates. He was apprehended, the police said.

"The accused saw the two sisters playing close to his place and lured them saying he will give them chocolates. After taking them home, he raped them there," Additional Superintendent of Police (rural) Shivendra Singh told PTI.

Minors found at Septuagenarian's home

The Police officers further informed that the parents of the minor siblings launched a search operation after they did not return home for a while. They were later found at the elderly man's house eventually.

After observing the girls' conditions, the family filed a complaint against the man at the police station. The culprit was later apprehended by the police.a a complaint under the appropriate provisions of the POCSO Act and the Indian Criminal Code (IPC), according to the ASP.
