Madhya Pradesh News: In Madhya Pradesh‘s Gwalior, two people were detained after a video appeared showing a guy being forced to kiss the soles of another person’s feet while in a moving vehicle, according to news agency PTI. The incident occurs days after the state’s Sidhi urinating episode caused a stir.
Victim and Accused Belong to Dabra Town in Gwalior District
An official told PTI that both the victim and the accused are locals of Dabra town in the Gwalior district. The victim is shown being slapped repeatedly in the social media video by another man, who also coerces the former into saying “Golu Gurjar baap hai” (Golu Gurjar is father) while the latter is in motion. The accused’s feet are then shown being licked by the victim. Additionally, the accused is seen repeatedly slapping the victim in the face and verbally harassing him. In a different video, the accused is shown repeatedly using a shoe to strike the victim in the face. According to Narottam Mishra, the home minister for Madhya Pradesh, two people have been detained in relation to this incident. Vivek Kumar Sharma, a sub divisional officer of police (SDOP) in Dabra, stated, ‘On Friday night, a video that depicts a man being beaten inside of a car became popular on social media. The video clip has been forwarded for forensic analysis.’
Case Filed Against Accused in Gwalior Incident, Kidnapping and Assault Charges
Following the victim’s family’s complaint, a case has been filed against the accused for kidnapping and assault under the pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code, Sharma said. An uproarious video that surfaced earlier this week in the state’s Sidhi region showed a guy peeing on a tribal youth. After the incident’s video went viral on social media on Tuesday, the accused, Pravesh Shukla, was taken into custody. The victim of the event involving the urinating in the Sidhi district has sought the state government to free Shukla, who was involved in the conduct, on the grounds that he has acknowledged his error. In addition to being charged appropriately under the IPC and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, action has been taken against Shukla, who is currently incarcerated, under the strict National Security Act (NSA). Additionally, a purportedly illegal piece of Shukla’s Sidhi home was torn down. On June 30, two Dalit males were allegedly assaulted by members of a minority group who suspected them of filming and molestation of some girls in Varkhadi village, Shivpuri district, and beating them up.
