Madhya Pradesh: In yet another violence video that appeared on social media, a man in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district is stripped to his pants, beaten with clubs and made to pick up shoes with his mouth. Police claimed to have verified the viral video's veracity and stated that the incident was two years old. The accused, Jawahar Singh Gond, is from a tribal group and works for the government in the Hanumana tehsil, which is located around 70 km from Rewa, the district administrative centre. In addition to committing the cruel deed, the accused also recorded it on camera.

Victim Overcomes Fear to Share Video of Horrific Attack

The victim, who is acquainted with the accused because they both come from the same hamlet, also possessed the footage but was discouraged from sharing it for fear of appearing foolish. The young man was being beaten with a stick while partially naked, as shown in the viral video. Additionally, he repeatedly hit him, breaking his jaw in the process. Some individuals persuaded the victim to make the video public on social media a few days ago after the Sidhi urination incident came to light and the accused Pravesh Shukla was jailed after using the National Security Act (NSA), following which a report was made at the Hanumana police station.

Victim's Employment Relationship Leads to Horrific Assault

According to the police, the 35-year-old victim used to operate the accused's pickup truck. The accused had unauthorised possession of some land that the victim had purchased in the accused's area. "The accused Jawahar Singh has been arrested on Friday and has been booked under IPC and IT Act. The victim was serving as driver for the accused for the last few years and they had a dispute over land also," Hanumana police station in-charge- Chetan Marskole told IANS on Monday. According to sources, the accused, 55-year-old Jawahar Singh Gond, works for the government at a school in Hanumana, and his wife is the village's Sarpanch.
