Indore Aims for World Record with 1.1 Million Trees Planted

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced his participation in the campaign through a tweet, stating, “Under the #एकपेड़माँकेनाम campaign initiated by Modi Ji, I will also be planting trees today in the BSF campus of Revati Range in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.”

Environmental protection has been a top priority for the Modi government, which has sought to make tree planting a widespread public consciousness initiative. This massive effort in Indore aligns with the government’s broader objectives to enhance green cover and promote sustainability across the nation.

In addition to the tree-planting drive, Amit Shah will inaugurate 55 Prime Minister Colleges of Excellence in various districts across Madhya Pradesh this afternoon. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment not only to environmental conservation but also to advancing educational infrastructure in the state.

As Indore residents come together to achieve this ambitious target, the effort is expected to significantly contribute to the city’s green cover and set a new benchmark for collective environmental action.
