BMC has decided to rename 2 areas after Sadhvi Pragya said that names are ‘impure’

The politics of changing the name has started again in Madhya Pradesh before the assembly elections to be held next year. In the capital Bhopal, people are battling with bad roads, sewage water is flowing on the roads from place to place. But Bhopal Municipal Corporation is giving priority to the proposal to change the name of the roads instead of filling the potholes. In fact, the proposal to change the names of two areas of the capital Bhopal has been approved in the meeting of the Municipal Corporation. Halalpur Bus Stand will now be renamed as Hanumangarhi and Lal Ghati will be renamed as Mahendra Narayan Das Maharaj Sarveshwar Chowk.

Bhopal MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur had proposed to change the names of these two areas. Municipal Corporation President Kishan Suryavanshi supported the proposal of the MP. After which all the members agreed to this and passed the resolution in the meeting. MP Pragya Singh Thakur had told in her proposal that the word ‘Halal’ of Halalpura is impure and bad. By removing the symbol of slavery, we have the power to change the history of India. That’s why we stand in politics to change and rebuild the history of Bhopal. The word Halal is impure so it should be removed.

MP Pragya had argued at Lalghati crossroads and told that there have been many murders at this crossroads and many brave heroes have lost their lives, so we should remember them and pay homage to them and renamed the intersection as Shri Mahendra Narayan Das Maharaj Sarveshwar Chowk. should go. The Municipal Corporation has approved the proposal to change the names of both the areas.

Even before this, the names of many cities and areas in Madhya Pradesh were changed. Just a few months back, Habibganj Railway Station was renamed as Rani Kamalapati Railway Station. Earlier Hoshangabad was renamed as Narmada Puram. Minto Hall in Bhopal was renamed as Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Centre. It is being told that a proposal was sent to the Central Government to name the Dumna Airport of Jabalpur after Rani Durgavati.
