In a heartening development for thousands of women across Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that the monthly installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana is being directly transferred to the bank accounts of beneficiaries on the auspicious occasion of Sawan month.
Taking to social media, the CM said, “In the holy month of Sawan, we are transferring the Ladli Behna Yojana funds into our sisters’ bank accounts. We are fulfilling our promises. Our government is committed to the welfare of every citizen of the state.”
Strengthening Women’s Financial Independence
The Ladli Behna Yojana is one of the flagship welfare initiatives of the Madhya Pradesh government aimed at ensuring financial support and empowerment for women from economically weaker backgrounds. Under this scheme, eligible women receive a fixed monthly amount as financial assistance, helping them meet basic needs and contribute to household expenses.
This month’s timely disbursement, aligned with the spiritually significant Sawan season, also carries cultural and emotional significance for many families. It reaffirms the government’s consistent effort to support women not just economically, but also socially.
Government's Continued Commitment
CM Yadav’s message also reflects the state government's emphasis on transparency, accountability, and direct benefit transfer (DBT) systems. The Madhya Pradesh government has been actively streamlining welfare schemes for better reach and efficiency.
With initiatives like Ladli Behna Yojana, the state continues to work towards inclusive growth, particularly focusing on women’s welfare, education, and empowerment. The recurring support under the scheme has already brought relief to lakhs of families, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
