Because of a technical glitch, the helicopter carrying Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday landed at the town of Manawar in the Dhar district from which it had earlier taken off.

The police said that Chouhan's helicopter left Manawar for Dhar in the evening but soon had to return owing to a technical glitch and land.

According to Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Dhiraj Babbar, the chief minister afterwards travelled by road to Dhar, which is 75 kilometres from Manawar.

He was scheduled to address a public rally in Dhar district following a similar event in Manawar.
