Dhirendra Shastri: PM Modi to Lay Foundation for Cancer Hospital at Bageshwar Dham on Feb 23

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bageshwar Dham on February 23 to lay the foundation stone for a 100-bed cancer hospital. Preparations for the grand event are in full swing, with several top leaders overseeing arrangements. Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, along with Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari, visited the site to assess the preparations. Before reviewing the arrangements, they also offered prayers at Balaji Temple and held discussions with Pandit Dhirendra Shastri regarding the PM’s visit.

Historic Visits by PM and President at Bageshwar Dham

This marks a historic moment, as for the first time, both the Prime Minister and the President will visit a saint’s ashram within a span of two days. While PM Modi will participate in the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the cancer hospital on February 23, President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Bageshwar Dham on February 26, coinciding with Mahashivratri.

During her visit, President Murmu will attend a mass wedding ceremony (Kanya Vivah) and bless 251 newlywed couples. The preparations for this grand event are underway across 100 acres of land at the site.

MP Deputy CMs and MP Manoj Tiwari Oversee Arrangements

Ahead of the high-profile visits, a delegation comprising MP Deputy CMs Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, Panchayat Minister Prahlad Patel, and MP Manoj Tiwari inspected the arrangements at Bageshwar Dham. The leaders first offered prayers at Balaji Temple before meeting Bageshwar Maharaj Dhirendra Shastri.

The team also visited the event venue, reviewed security protocols, and discussed various logistical and safety aspects of the program.

With these visits, Bageshwar Dham is set to become a focal point of major political and spiritual significance in the coming days.
