A major accident took place on Thursday in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. On the occasion of Ramnavami, the roof of the well built at Sribeleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in Sneh Nagar, Indore suddenly caved in. In which 35 people have died so far and 18 people are injured. At the time of the accident, a havan was going on in the temple on Ram Navami. The condition of some of the rescued people is critical. The Chief Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each for the dead and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
Stepwell roof at the Beleshwar Mahadev temple could not sustain the weight of a large crowd
So far 35 people have lost their lives in the tragic accident that took place at 11 am on Thursday in Sneh Nagar of Indore on Ram Navami. It is being told that the death toll may also increase. After the accident, many questions are arising in the mind that what was the reason behind the accident. How did the accident become so terrible that the death toll kept increasing every moment.
Kanya Pujan was being organized on Ram Navami at Shri Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in Patel Nagar near Sneh Nagar of Indore. There was a gathering of people in the temple. Suddenly the roof of the stepwell in the temple premises collapsed and the crowd fell straight into the stepwell. People didn't even get a chance to recover from the sudden accident.
The stepwell was covered in the temple premises. To cover it, a mesh of bars was made and tiles were laid on it. If the RCC roof had also been filled, the accident would not have happened. On the day of the event, a carpet was spread on this weak structure and people were gathered. As the weight increased, the construction also started collapsing. When the people went ahead to worship, the structure completely collapsed and the people fell directly into the stepwell.
