In a special gesture ahead of Raksha Bandhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced an additional ₹250 as a festive bonus for beneficiaries of the state’s flagship Ladli Behna Yojana. This means that instead of the regular ₹1250 monthly installment, eligible women will receive ₹1500 in their accounts this August.
The announcement was made by the Chief Minister himself through a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he referred to the extra amount as a “Raksha Bandhan Gift” for the sisters of Madhya Pradesh.
27th Installment to Be Released Soon
Along with the bonus announcement, CM Yadav also confirmed the disbursement date for the 27th installment of the scheme. The state government has assured that funds will be credited directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts without delay.
Ladli Behna Scheme: Empowering Women Financially
The Ladli Behna Yojana is a social welfare initiative by the Madhya Pradesh government aimed at supporting women through direct financial assistance. Since its inception, the scheme has played a crucial role in enhancing the economic independence of lakhs of women across the state.
This festive bonus reflects the government’s commitment to not only maintaining regular financial aid but also recognizing and celebrating women’s contributions during special occasions like Raksha Bandhan.
Officials from the Women and Child Development Department have stated that preparations for the release of the funds are underway, and beneficiaries will be informed via SMS as soon as the transfer is made.
