Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the Mukhyamantri Awasiya Plot Yojana in Tikamgarh district on Wednesday with the aim of ensuring that no one in the state has to live in thatched or mud houses. “Now no one in the state will live in thatched or kutcha houses.
The government will give residential land pattas to all the poor and homeless. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Chief Minister Jan Awas Yojana, pucca houses will be built on these leases. It is not just a lease, but respect for the poor, their respect. Now no one will be able to ask them to leave their place."
In the district of Bundelkhand region, residential plots worth Rs 129.37 crore were distributed to 10,918 beneficiaries. Chouhan also laid the foundation stone of development works worth Rs 255 crore. Talking to the beneficiaries of the new scheme, Chouhan instructed the officials to provide all the basic facilities like road, electricity, water, sewage line.
The Chief Minister said, "Pucca houses will be built on these leases under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Jan-Awas Yojana.Chouhan said that these are not just leases, but respect and honor of the poor. Now no one will be able to tell them to leave this place. They are getting real estate.
Chief minister's dream
Today, he formally inaugurated the Chief Minister's Residential Plot Scheme from Tikamgarh by distributing residential plots to the selected beneficiaries Initially, he reached the plots allotted to the selected beneficiaries and distributed acceptance letters to them there.
Chouhan interacted with the beneficiaries and had food with them sitting on the ground.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that all basic facilities like road, electricity, water, sewage line should be made available around the allotted plots. Chauhan reached the plots of Bhagwan Das, Bhajanlal, Balachandra, Jasrath, Teejabai, Devendra, Rajkumar, Jagdish, Rakesh, Ramprasad, Bablu, Rajan and gave them pattas.
