Lok Sabha Election 2024: In the ongoing phase 4 of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, voters across 10 states and a Union Territory exercised their democratic right with fervor and determination. The Election Commission of India reported a moderate voter turnout of about 52.60% till 3 pm.
Leading the voter participation, West Bengal emerged with the highest turnout at 66.05%, underscoring the state’s significance in the electoral landscape. Following closely behind, Madhya Pradesh marked a robust turnout of 59.63%, showcasing the electorate’s active engagement in the electoral process.

Jharkhand recorded a commendable turnout of 56.42%, while Uttar Pradesh and Bihar registered 48.41% and 45.23% respectively, reflecting a steady pace of voter participation.
Notably, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar constituency, which is witnessing its first Lok Sabha election post the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, voter turnout stood at 29.93% by 3 pm. This marks a significant increase compared to the 2019 elections, where only 14.43% of voters exercised their franchise.

This phase encompasses crucial constituencies across various states, including all 25 seats of Andhra Pradesh and 17 seats of Telangana, 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 8 in West Bengal, 8 in Madhya Pradesh, 5 in Bihar, 4 seats each in Jharkhand and Odisha, and one seat in Jammu and Kashmir.
