Bajrang Dal workers beat up two Muslim men with sticks and rods on Wednesday in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, accusing them of carrying beef on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. According to police information, two bike riders were going towards Imlipura from Sihada village of Khandwa.
It is alleged that these two Muslim youths were going to Imlipura with beef from Sihada village. He was stopped by Bajrang Dal workers near the Polytechnic College in Khandwa. Bajrang Dal workers accused him of carrying beef. The youths denied the allegations and told that they were carrying mutton.
After this, the angry Bajrang Dal workers thrashed the youths with sticks. Bajrang Dal workers even tore the clothes of the youths. As soon as the information about the fight was received, the police reached the spot, rescued both the victims and brought them to the police station. Bajrang Dal workers kept opposing him.
However, City Qazi (Magistrate of Sharia court) Syed Nisar said regarding the matter that, Khandwa's slaughterhouses are strictly monitored by the administration, beef cannot be brought here. Regarding the thrashing of two youths by Bajrang Dal workers, Syed Nisar said that some organizations are conspiring to spoil the atmosphere of the city by making false allegations. On the other hand, Aditya Mehta, district convenor of Bajrang Dal, claimed that our workers saw two people carrying beef, after which they caught the accused and brought them to the Rameshwar police post.
Police say that some people from the Muslim community had come to meet at the outpost. They have shown a video to the police. Police post incharge has sent the video to SP and SHO. Police say that action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts come out after the investigation in this matter.
