Mohan Yadav Government Highlights Women Empowerment Initiatives in Madhya Pradesh

Through entrepreneurship, skill development and access to financial resources, many women are now contributing significantly to their family incomes and local economies.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the government of Madhya Pradesh has been intensifying efforts to promote women empowerment through various welfare and economic initiatives. According to the state government, continuous policy support and development programmes are helping women become financially independent and socially empowered.

Officials said that more than 65 lakh women have become economically empowered by joining over 5 lakh self-help groups across the state. These groups are playing a key role in encouraging women to participate in small businesses, community enterprises and income-generating activities.

The government also highlighted that over 12 lakh women in the state have become “Lakhpati Didis,” emerging as inspiring examples of financial self-reliance. Through entrepreneurship, skill development and access to financial resources, many women are now contributing significantly to their family incomes and local economies.

Another major indicator of the growing participation of women in the economy is the startup sector. According to official data, around 47 percent of new startups in Madhya Pradesh are being led by women entrepreneurs, reflecting the increasing role of women in innovation and business leadership.
