The Madhya Pradesh government under Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced the commencement of wheat procurement for the year 2026 at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), reinforcing its commitment to farmers’ welfare.

As per the official schedule, procurement will begin from April 1, 2026, in Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, and Narmadapuram divisions. In the remaining divisions of the state, the procurement process will start from April 7, 2026.
The initiative aims to ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their produce while maintaining transparency and efficiency in the procurement process. The state government has made necessary arrangements at procurement centers to facilitate smooth operations and minimize inconvenience to farmers.
Officials stated that adequate infrastructure
Officials stated that adequate infrastructure, including storage facilities and transportation arrangements, is being put in place to handle large-scale procurement across the state. Efforts are also being made to streamline registration and verification processes to ensure timely payments to farmers.
The government emphasized that timely procurement at MSP will not only support farmers financially but also strengthen the agricultural economy of the state.
Reiterating its vision of a “prosperous farmer and progressive Madhya Pradesh,” the administration highlighted that continuous policy support and farmer-centric initiatives remain central to its development agenda.
