Mohan Yadav Highlights Rapid Aviation Push in MP, Expansion Plans Set to Transform Connectivity

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has outlined the state’s growing focus on improving transport and aviation connectivity. He stated that Madhya Pradesh is advancing towards becoming a well-connected state, both domestically and internationally.

The Chief Minister emphasized that better connectivity is key to economic growth and ease of travel. The government is working to ensure smoother and faster journeys for citizens.

Mohan Yadav: Indore emerging as a key aviation hub

Highlighting recent developments, Mohan Yadav said that Indore is witnessing major improvements in air connectivity, including expansion at the international level. Significant investment of around ₹50 crore has been made to upgrade infrastructure.

He noted that the expansion includes multiple new check-in terminals and enhanced passenger facilities. These upgrades are aimed at handling increased passenger traffic efficiently.

New airports planned across cities

The Chief Minister said that new airports are being developed in cities like Rewa and Ujjain, among others. These projects are expected to boost regional connectivity and open new opportunities for development.

Currently, Madhya Pradesh has around eight airports, and the number is set to grow further. The expansion is part of a broader strategy to strengthen infrastructure across the state.

Ambitious connectivity targets set

Mohan Yadav highlighted the government’s long-term vision for aviation infrastructure. He stated that the goal is to have a commercial airport within every 150 kilometres.

Additionally, plans are in place to establish a helipad every 45 kilometres. This is expected to significantly improve last-mile connectivity and emergency access.

Boost to economy and tourism

Officials believe that improved air connectivity will boost trade, tourism, and investment in the state. Better access to cities will make Madhya Pradesh more attractive for businesses and travelers.

The development of airports in religious and cultural cities like Ujjain is also expected to increase tourist inflow. This will directly benefit local economies.

Towards easier and faster travel

The Chief Minister said that the expansion of aviation infrastructure will make travel more convenient for people. Reduced travel time and better connectivity will enhance overall mobility.

He added that the government is committed to making every journey easier and more accessible. Continuous infrastructure upgrades are being prioritized.

MP positioning itself as a development leader

Mohan Yadav asserted that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a leading state in terms of infrastructure and development. The focus on connectivity is a key pillar of this growth.

With ongoing and upcoming projects, the state aims to set new benchmarks in transport and aviation. Authorities reiterated that such initiatives will continue to accelerate development across regions.
