Mohan Yadav on Tuesday transferred more than ₹1,835 crore to the bank accounts of 1.25 crore women beneficiaries under the ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana’ during a programme held in Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
The amount was released during an event organised at village Mungwani in Narsinghpur on May 13, 2026. Alongside the fund transfer, the Chief Minister also performed bhoomipujan and inaugurated several development projects in the district.
According to information shared by the Chief Minister’s Office, the state government has so far transferred ₹57,761 crore to women beneficiaries under the Ladli Behna Yojana since its launch.
Mohan Yadav: Scheme aimed at women empowerment
In its message regarding the scheme, the Madhya Pradesh government said the monthly financial assistance is not just monetary support but also a step towards enhancing women’s confidence, self-reliance and decision-making power.
The government stated that the scheme has emerged as a symbol of women’s respect and empowerment in the state by directly transferring financial aid into beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Focus on welfare and development projects
During the event, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted the state government’s continued focus on women-centric welfare schemes and rural development initiatives. Officials said multiple infrastructure and public welfare projects were dedicated to the public during the programme.
The event was also broadcast live through official government platforms, with senior administrative officials and public representatives participating in the programme.
