Mohan Yadav: MP Govt Approves ‘Geeta Bhavan’ Projects
The project, announced under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, aims to create dedicated spaces for spiritual learning, cultural activities and community engagement across Madhya Pradesh.
Officials said the ‘Geeta Bhavan’ centres will be equipped with modern infrastructure
According to official details, the projects have been sanctioned in Rewa, Chhindwara, Katni and Khandwa, with a total investment running into several crores. The estimated cost includes ₹5 crore for Rewa, ₹2.5 crore for Chhindwara, ₹2.4 crore for Katni and ₹2 crore for Khandwa.
Officials said the ‘Geeta Bhavan’ centres will be equipped with modern infrastructure, including state-of-the-art auditoriums, libraries and high-tech e-libraries to facilitate learning and cultural exchange.
The facilities will also include cafeterias and dedicated centres for the sale of books and spiritual materials, making them comprehensive hubs for visitors interested in religious and philosophical studies.
The state government said the initiative reflects its commitment to preserving cultural traditions while promoting spiritual awareness among citizens. The centres are expected to host religious discourses, cultural programmes and educational activities.
Authorities added that the project will also boost local tourism and provide a platform for scholars, students and the general public to engage with India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage in a modern setting.
Officials further noted that the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen cultural infrastructure in the state while encouraging younger generations to connect with spiritual teachings and traditional knowledge systems.
