Mohan Yadav: The Madhya Pradesh government is set to launch the ‘School Chalein Hum’ campaign from April 1 as part of its statewide enrolment drive for the new academic session 2026–27.
The initiative will be inaugurated in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at a state-level programme organised at a model higher secondary school in Bhopal.

The campaign is aimed at ensuring that every child has access to education, with special emphasis on increasing enrolment in government schools. Officials stated that the programme reflects the state government’s commitment to the Right to Education and inclusive learning.
Four-Day Enrolment Drive
The ‘School Chalein Hum’ campaign run from April 1 to April 4, during which various awareness and outreach activities will be conducted across the state. Schools will actively engage with parents and communities to encourage admissions, especially of children who are out of school.
Special Attention on Government Schools
Authorities have directed schools to focus on maximizing student enrolment, improving attendance, and ensuring a welcoming environment for new students. Activities under the programme will include awareness campaigns, school visits, and community participation.
Strengthening Education Infrastructure
The state government has reiterated that improving education remains a key priority, with continued efforts to enhance school infrastructure, teaching quality, and student support systems.
Officials added that the campaign is expected to play a crucial role in boosting enrolment numbers and strengthening the foundation of the education system in Madhya Pradesh.
The campaign will also emphasize reducing dropout rates by encouraging students who have discontinued their education to return to school. Bridge courses and support mechanisms are expected to be introduced to help such students reintegrate smoothly into the academic system.
Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanism
To ensure effective implementation, the government has put in place a monitoring system at district and block levels. Regular reviews will be conducted to track enrolment progress and address challenges in real time, ensuring the campaign achieves its intended outcomes.
