Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the state government is continuously working to increase farmers’ income and provide better market access for local products.
The Chief Minister participated in the three-day “Mango Jatra” organised by the Marathi Social Group at the Rural Haat Bazaar premises in Indore, where he interacted with mango-producing farmers and reviewed various exhibition stalls.

During the event, Mohan Yadav discussed farming practices, market opportunities, and mango varieties with farmers and exhibitors participating in the programme.
Announcement of financial incentive
The Chief Minister also announced an incentive amount of ₹11,000 each for farmers during the event as part of efforts to encourage horticulture and support local producers.

Officials said the event was aimed at promoting mango cultivation, strengthening direct interaction between producers and consumers, and creating better market opportunities for farmers.

The state government has increasingly promoted agricultural fairs and product-based exhibitions to showcase regional produce and support rural economic growth.

The programme highlighted the importance of the horticulture sector in Madhya Pradesh’s rural economy, with the government emphasizing value addition, branding, and market connectivity for farmers.
