Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer ₹1,551.44 crore to the accounts of 1.27 crore women beneficiaries as part of the 25th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana during a public event in Jabalpur on Monday, June 16. The scheme, which offers ₹1,250 per month directly to eligible women, continues to be one of the state's most impactful welfare initiatives.

Amount May Be Increased to ₹3,000 per Month

Originally launched in 2023 under then CM and current Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Ladli Behna Yojana is now being considered for expansion. At a recent event in Sehore, CM Mohan Yadav announced that the government is actively considering increasing the monthly amount to ₹3,000, a move likely to benefit millions of women across the state.

Additional Benefits: LPG and Support for Workers

Apart from the Ladli Behna installment, CM Yadav will also transfer ₹39.14 crore to over 27 lakh beneficiaries for LPG cylinder refills. These moves reflect the government’s focus on direct benefit transfers and targeted welfare support.

The event will also include financial transfers under the Sambal Yojana, another key scheme for laborers. The scheme offers:

₹2 lakh for permanent disability

₹1 lakh for partial disability

₹5,000 for funeral assistance

₹16,000 for maternity support for women workers

Additionally, the state covers tuition fees for children of registered laborers pursuing higher education.

Social Security Pension Transfers Also Announced

During the event, the CM will also transfer ₹341 crore to 56.68 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme, further extending the government’s welfare outreach.

Infrastructure Projects in Focus

Alongside financial assistance, CM Yadav will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple development projects across Jabalpur, with Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel and other cabinet members expected to attend the event in Bargi, Jabalpur district.

The series of announcements reinforces the government’s welfare-driven agenda and its commitment to rural and women-centric development.
