MP Mohan Yadav launches PMGSY-IV projects worth ₹1,763 crore to boost rural connectivity

The state government described the initiative as part of its broader commitment toward inclusive development

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said rural development is gaining new momentum under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the state set to launch major road connectivity projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY-IV) and PM Janman Yojana.

The state-level programme is being organised in Bhairunda of Sehore district in the presence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Mohan Yadav: 963 new roads to be constructed

According to the government, more than 963 new roads covering approximately 2,117 kilometres will be constructed at a cost exceeding ₹1,763 crore.

Nearly 1,000 habitations to benefit

The projects are expected to benefit around 987 habitations, improving access to transportation, education, healthcare, and trade facilities in rural areas.

Focus on rural infrastructure

Mohan Yadav said improved road connectivity will strengthen economic opportunities and ease movement for people living in remote regions of the state.

Boost to development and public services

Officials stated that the infrastructure push will help accelerate rural development while improving delivery of essential services and market access for villages.

The state government described the initiative as part of its broader commitment toward inclusive development, connectivity expansion, and strengthening rural infrastructure across Madhya Pradesh.
