In a major move aimed at encouraging talented students, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is set to transfer a total of ₹224 crore into the bank accounts of 89,710 students who scored 75% or above in their Class 12 board exams under the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) for the academic year 2023-24. The funds will be used to help these students purchase laptops, assisting them in their higher education journey.

Details of the Program

The state-level event is scheduled for February 21, 2025, at 10:30 AM, at the R.C.V.P. Noronha Administrative Academy's Golden Jubilee Hall in Bhopal. The School Education and Transport Minister, Uday Pratap Singh, will preside over the ceremony.

Each eligible student will receive a sum of ₹25,000 from the School Education Department to purchase a laptop. The event is designed to recognize and encourage the efforts of students who have excelled in their academics, especially those pursuing higher education at various institutions across the state.

Supporting Ministers and Attendees

Along with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the event will also be attended by several prominent political figures, including Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare and Cooperation, Krishna Gaur, State Minister for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, and Alok Sharma, Member of Parliament.

The Objective of the Scheme

The initiative aims to ensure that bright students are not hindered by financial constraints and are provided with the necessary resources for higher education. By offering financial assistance to purchase laptops, the state government hopes to equip these students with tools necessary for research, study, and development, in line with the digital transformation of education in India.

This significant step taken by the Madhya Pradesh government is seen as a push to ensure that more students are able to access the benefits of digital learning, thus improving their prospects in the rapidly evolving educational landscape.
