MP News: Chandrabhan Patel, a 30-year-old farmer's son from Riyan village, Damoh, has developed an E-Nose device that serves as a cost-effective solution for real-time alerts on toxic gas leaks. Priced at 15 to 20 thousand rupees, it offers an affordable alternative to the market's one-and-a-half-lakh-rupee devices.
How E-Nose Works
Operated through the Quantum L2 mobile app, the E-Nose device monitors gases like hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. In case of a gas leak, the app sends immediate alerts, and the device triggers an alarm within a 20-meter radius, preventing potential disasters.
Affordable Innovation
Agricultural innovator and IIT Indore Ph.D. scholar, Chandrabhan Patel's technology has garnered recognition, with the Madhya Pradesh government awarding him the title of "Young Scientist" in 2022. Additionally, his startup received the Best Technology Award 2023 from IIT Mumbai. This innovation aligns with India's pursuit of a safer and self-reliant future.
Additionally, he has been awarded the Best Technology Award 2023 by IIT Mumbai for his startup. Chandrabhan Patel's innovative technology has also been granted a patent by the Indian government. His research team includes Dr. Pallabi Mukherjee, Mayank Dubey, and Sumit Choudhary, with guidance from Professor Shyamal Mukherjee of the Electrical Engineering Department at IIT Indore. Professor Shyamal Mukherjee emphasized that their developed technology plays a crucial role in preventing accidents by providing timely alerts about hazardous gas leaks, contributing to the safety and self-reliance of India.
