As preparations begin for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the significance of the event, calling it not just a state celebration but “the pride of the whole world.”

Speaking to the media, Yadav said, “Simhastha is not just of Madhya Pradesh, it is the pride of the whole world. So, detailed planning needs to be made... In the future, our religious tourism will increase... we have started work on this.”

Yadav said, “Simhastha is not just of Madhya Pradesh, it is the pride of the whole world.."

The Chief Minister also highlighted the potential of the mega religious gathering to boost spiritual tourism and the local economy. He assured that meticulous preparations are underway to ensure infrastructure, crowd management, and civic amenities are all aligned with global standards.

The Simhastha Kumbh Mela, held every 12 years in Ujjain, attracts millions of devotees, saints, and tourists from across India and abroad.

Officials have begun assessing key areas like transport connectivity, sanitation, security arrangements, and digital monitoring systems to ensure a seamless experience for pilgrims. The administration also plans to integrate eco-friendly initiatives, including waste management and sustainable accommodation, to align with the vision of making Simhastha a globally admired religious and cultural event.
