Kharge was addressing an event marking the 139th birth anniversary of former Bihar Chief Minister Dr Shri Krishna Singh when the interruption occurred. As the heckler insisted that Modi “will not go anywhere,” Kharge retorted, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega, baap bhi jayega,” leading to a ruckus at the venue. Congress’s clarification
The Congress moved quickly to defend Kharge, arguing that the remark was made after provocation and was not directed at the Prime Minister’s father. Congress MP Pawan Khera said Kharge was referring to the RSS, which he described as PM Modi’s ideological mentor. Khera further accused the BJP and RSS of repeatedly disrespecting Kharge, citing the Patna heckling and a purification ritual held after a Congress rally in Haldwani earlier this year.
